Kava is a traditional root tea from the South Pacific islands is an alcohol alternative that relieves anxiety muscle tension and a probiotic. I found kava while working in the high stress telecommunications industry. I quickly became familiar with the wonderful and healthful calming effects from this island drink. I decided then, that I would open a kava bar to bring this amazing beverage to new friends and increase awareness of the wide spread benefits of kava. Islanders have used kava as medicine and in ceremonies for centuries. The relaxing effects that Kava offers are truly remarkable.
